Uflex OIL15 is an aircraft-grade hydraulic oil specifically formulated for use with Uflex hydraulic steering helms and cylinders. Using the correct hydraulic fluid in a Uflex steering system is important for maintaining proper system performance and protecting seals and internal components — OIL15 is the fluid recommended by Uflex for all UP series helms and SilverSteer™ systems, and is compatible with SeaStar hydraulic fluid for mixed-system applications.

OIL15 is compatible with SeaStar hydraulic fluid, which means it can be used in systems that have previously been filled with SeaStar fluid without requiring a complete flush. Keep a quart on hand for top-offs after bleeding the system during cylinder replacement or hose service — hydraulic steering systems typically require only a small amount of fluid to top off after service, but having the correct fluid available when needed prevents delays.
