Uflex PROTECH21 Hydraulic Steering System – Front Mount Outboard
The Uflex PROTECH21 is a front-mount outboard hydraulic steering system built around the proven UP28FM helm and UC128 cylinder — engineered for Johnson/Evinrude, Yamaha, and Suzuki outboard applications. It delivers the same smooth, precise 4.25 turns lock-to-lock performance and heavy-duty stainless steel construction as the rest of the PROTECH lineup, in a standard (non-tilt) helm configuration.
A direct drop-in replacement for competing hydraulic steering systems, the PROTECH21 is compatible with Teleflex/Seastar Solutions hoses and oil, making it straightforward to integrate into existing setups. Hoses are sold separately — compatible with Kit OB or Kit OB BHBR hose sets.

The standard (non-tilt) UP28FM helm is a solid choice for fixed-position helm stations where wheel angle adjustment isn’t a priority.
