The Uflex Racktech is a complete rack and pinion steering system designed as a direct replacement for ski boats, power-assisted sterndrives, and other single-station powerboat applications where rudder torque is minimal. The system uses a stainless flat-wrap cable for smooth, low-friction steering with minimal lost motion — delivering a responsive, connected feel at the helm.
At 3.5 turns lock-to-lock, the Racktech offers a balanced ratio suitable for a wide range of outboard and sterndrive applications. This 20 ft package includes everything needed for a complete installation: a pre-assembled M86 helm with steering cable, G86 shaft assembly, and X34 90° bezel. Compatible as a replacement for most rack and rotary steering applications where rudder torque is low.

Best Use Case: The Racktech 20 ft is the longest cable-length option in the Racktech family we carry — suited for large ski boats and sterndrives with the most extended helm-to-engine cable runs. Always confirm the customer’s required cable length before purchase. If the run is shorter, direct the customer to the appropriate length starting with the 19 ft RACKTECH19. Not recommended for high-torque outboard applications or twin-engine setups.
