Heavy-Duty Battery Lugs for High-Current Marine Applications
The Ancor Marine Grade™ Tinned Battery Lug (Part #252284) delivers a secure, corrosion-resistant termination for 1/0 AWG cable — one of the most common sizes used for battery banks, windlasses, bow thrusters, and high-draw DC systems aboard. Pure copper construction ensures maximum current flow with minimal resistance, while the tinned finish stands up to salt air and moisture that would quickly degrade an untreated lug. The closed-end barrel keeps water out of the connection, protecting the integrity of the crimp or solder joint over the long haul.
This 2-pack is sized for a 1/4" fastener hole, suited for terminal blocks, bus bars, and accessory studs where a smaller fastener is specified.
Key Features
- Pure copper construction for maximum current capacity and minimal voltage drop
- Tinned finish for outstanding corrosion resistance in salt and humid environments
- Closed-end barrel seals out moisture for a durable, protected connection
- Solder-ready — tinned surface bonds quickly and cleanly
- 1/4" fastener hole | 1/0 AWG cable | 2 lugs per pack
Compatible Applications
- Battery bank interconnects and main power leads
- Windlass and anchor winch wiring
- Bow thruster power connections
- Inverter and charger cable terminations
- High-draw DC accessory circuits
- Shore power and generator hookups

Parts Desk Insights
Best use case: 1/0 AWG is the workhorse gauge for mid-to-high current DC runs — think battery-to-battery cables, windlass leads, and inverter hookups in the 100–150A range. The 1/4" fastener hole is less common at this cable size (most 1/0 applications use 5/16" or 3/8" studs), so confirm your terminal stud diameter before ordering. If you’re unsure, the 5/16" version (252285) is the more typical choice for 1/0 AWG battery connections. For bulk wiring jobs or a full rewire, the 25-pack (242285) or the 100-piece assortment kit will save you money per lug.
