This kit is for foot-flush toilets with a metal flush pedal mechanism, including models where the visible pedal has a plastic cover over a metal bar. It is not the correct repair kit for toilets that use a sealed or non-serviceable flush ball assembly.
For best results, compare the existing flush ball, shaft, spring cartridge, and pedal mechanism against the replacement kit before disassembly.
When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace this kit when the toilet bowl will not hold water, the flush ball does not close fully, the foot pedal does not return correctly, or the flush mechanism feels loose, sticky, or inconsistent. A worn shaft, weak spring cartridge, damaged flush ball, or failing linkage can prevent the ball from sealing against the bowl seal and may allow water to slowly drain from the bowl.
This kit is also commonly replaced during internal toilet service when the bowl seal is being renewed and the flush ball assembly shows wear, staining, mineral build-up, or poor return action.
Installation Notes
Shut off the water supply and follow the Dometic / SeaLand service procedure for the toilet model before removing the pedal assembly or internal flush components. Inspect the bowl seal, flush ball surface, rotor shaft, spring cartridge, end caps, and fasteners during disassembly.
If the toilet bowl has not been holding water, inspect the matching bowl seal at the same time. The black rubber bowl seal is a common related service item and may need replacement if it is hardened, flattened, swollen, cut, or coated with mineral build-up. Do not force the pedal mechanism during reassembly; the shaft, spring cartridge, and flush ball must be aligned correctly for smooth pedal return and proper sealing.
