Attwood Adjustable Transom Saver – Bolt Mount, 23–35 in.
Protect your outboard motor and transom from road vibration and stress with this adjustable transom saver from Attwood. Designed for short- and standard-shaft outboards with shaft lengths from 23 to 35 inches, it supports the full weight of the motor and stabilizes both the engine and steering mechanism during trailering — preventing long-term wear on the transom, tilt tube, and hydraulic trim system.
This model uses a bolt-mount bracket, making it the right choice for flat-bunk trailers and any trailer configuration where a roller-style mount won’t work. The deluxe head with composite pads cushions contact with the motor’s lower unit, protecting the finish and absorbing minor road vibration.
Key Features
- Adjustable length: fits motor shafts 23 to 35 in.
- Deluxe head with composite pads protects the outboard lower unit
- Supports the full weight of the motor during transport
- Stabilizes engine and steering mechanism to reduce transom stress
- Bolt-mount bracket for flat-bunk and non-roller trailer configurations
Compatible Applications
- Short- and standard-shaft outboard motors (23–35 in. shaft length)
- Outboards with hydraulic trim/tilt systems
- Boat trailers with flat-bunk or bolt-mount configurations
- Small- to mid-horsepower single outboard setups
Also available in this shaft range: Roller Mount version (148-400R) and the Swivl-Eze SP400RB (Roller/Bolt Mount). For spring-loaded shock absorption, see the Shock-Eze 27–36 in. model. For longer shaft lengths, see the Shock-Eze 31–40 in. or Heavy-Duty Adjustable 32–42 in. models.
Parts Desk Insights
The bolt-mount version is the one to order when your trailer uses a flat bunk or a fixed bolt-mount attachment point rather than a roller-style bracket — a common setup on older trailers and many bunk-style aluminum boat trailers. If you’re not sure which mount style your trailer uses, the SP400RB (roller/bolt) covers both and is the more flexible option. For the same shaft range with a roller mount, see the 148-400R roller-mount version. If you need a heavier-duty build for a larger motor or more demanding trailering conditions, the SP4000ADJRB heavy-duty model is the step up. Always confirm your motor shaft length and trailer mount style before ordering.
