Part number 18, the YC4-suffix design combines a projected tip for improved ignitability with four ground electrodes arranged around the centre electrode — delivering more consistent spark initiation and longer service life compared to a standard single-ground plug.
The cooler heat range (15) makes the RV15YC4 suited for higher-output or higher-RPM marine inboard engines that generate more combustion heat than lower-output applications.
