Wire-Supported Vinyl Blower Hose for Engine Compartment Ventilation β 4" Diameter, 50' Roll
The Seachoice 402 Series vinyl blower hose is designed for venting bilge gases and fuel fumes from enclosed engine compartments on powerboats and inboard-powered vessels. The wire-supported construction keeps the hose open under compression and around bends, maintaining consistent airflow through the ventilation system β a critical safety requirement on gasoline-powered boats.
At 4" interior diameter and 50 feet in length, this roll is suited to larger blower installations, commercial applications, or shops and yards that need bulk hose on hand for multiple jobs. The black finish blends into engine compartment interiors and resists UV degradation, ozone, and weathering for long service life.

Parts Desk Insights
Best Use Case: The 4" diameter is the right spec for larger inboard engines, twin-engine installations, and any application where the blower unit has a 4" outlet. Confirm the customerβs blower outlet diameter before selling β 3" and 4" are the two most common sizes, and they are not interchangeable without adapters. The 50-foot roll is ideal for shops doing multiple installations or for vessels with long hose runs from the engine compartment to the through-hull vent.
Safety Note: Engine compartment ventilation hose must be flame-retardant per ABYC and USCG standards for gasoline-powered vessels. This hose meets that requirement. Do not substitute standard bilge hose or plain PVC in blower applications β they are not rated for fuel vapour ventilation.
Cutting & Installation: Wire-supported hose can be cut with a utility knife β score around the circumference and bend to snap the wire, then trim the vinyl cleanly. Secure with stainless hose clamps at each end. Avoid sharp bends that could kink the wire and restrict airflow.
