When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace the coolant pump if the engine is overheating, coolant circulation is weak, the pump is leaking, the bearing is noisy, the shaft has play, the pulley area is damaged, or coolant loss is traced to the pump body or seal area. A failing circulation pump can cause temperature rise even when the thermostat, coolant level, heat exchanger, and seawater side are otherwise serviceable.
