When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace the fuel filter during scheduled service, after fuel contamination, when water or debris is found in the fuel system, or if the engine shows symptoms such as hard starting, loss of power, unstable running, hesitation, or restricted fuel flow.
Installation Notes
Shut off the fuel supply where applicable, remove the old filter, clean the filter head sealing surface, lightly lubricate the new gasket with clean fuel or oil, and install the new filter according to Volvo Penta service procedure.
