The Lewmar VX1 GO is part of the VX range — lighter, stronger, and more efficient than competing windlasses in its class. With a 675 kg maximum pull and a compact footprint that matches the V1 model, it’s engineered for sailboats and powerboats up to 40’ that demand reliable, low-profile anchoring performance.

- Chain compatibility: This kit is gypsied for 8mm or 5/16" chain — confirm your rode size before ordering. If you’re running 6mm, 7mm, or 1/4" chain, see the 69100031 kit instead.
- V1 upgrade path: The VX1 GO shares the same deck footprint as the original V1 windlass, making it a clean drop-in upgrade without cutting new holes or refinishing the deck.
- Electrical requirements: Windlasses in this pull class typically require a dedicated 12V circuit with appropriately sized wire runs and a circuit breaker — the breaker is included in this kit. Consult your installer for wire gauge based on run length.
- Rope-chain combo rodes: The gypsy is chain-only. If you’re running a rope-chain combo, a rope-chain gypsy is available separately — call the parts desk to confirm compatibility.
