Lewmar V1 Series All-Stainless Vertical Electric Windlass — 12V
The Lewmar V1 Series is a full-featured vertical electric windlass built for power and sail boats that demand reliable, all-stainless construction. With a rope-chain gypsy sized for 1/2"–5/8" line and 5/16" chain, it handles the most common anchor rode configurations right out of the box.

- Rope-chain gypsy sizing: This kit is gypsied for 1/2"–5/8" rope and 5/16" chain. Confirm your rode diameter before ordering — using the wrong gypsy size causes slippage and premature wear.
- Free fall check: The manual chain release (free fall) is a key feature for rapid deployment. Confirm the deck layout allows safe free-fall operation before installation — the anchor must be able to run freely without obstruction.
- 12V only: This is a 12V system. If your vessel runs a 24V house bank, a 24V-rated windlass is required — do not run a 12V windlass on a 24V supply.
- FastFit™ option: If your installation has limited below-deck access, ask the parts desk about the FastFit™ configuration — it significantly reduces installation time and complexity.
- Emergency recovery kit: We recommend ordering the emergency recovery kit at the same time as the windlass. If the motor or electrical system fails at anchor, manual retrieval capability is essential.

Electronics are strictly inspected. No returns on open-box electronics. Exceptions may apply only with prior written approval. Any electronic unit that has been installed, powered, activated, or altered may not be eligible for return.
