4.3L carbureted engine parts
4.3L / 4.3LX / 4.3 TKS
Browse service parts for carbureted MerCruiser 4.3L V6 engines. The complete model, engine serial number, carburetor and ignition system identify the parts you need. Separate earlier 4.3L and 4.3LX versions from later TKS installations before choosing fuel or ignition components.

Before selecting parts
Identify the engine you have
Use the complete identification to select the correct generation, diagram and replacement part.
4.3L / 4.3LX
Carburetor type and ignition equipment vary. Mercury identifies a Weber four-barrel application for selected 1992–1996 4.3LX engines; that does not make every 4.3LX a Weber application. Read the carburetor identification and engine serial number.
4.3 TKS
Turn-Key Starting uses a carburetor with automatic enrichment. Match the installed TKS carburetor and related components by engine serial number.
Cooling & propulsion
Identify the actual cooling arrangement, exhaust and drive package. Engine, sterndrive and transom assemblies have separate identification and parts selections.
This page covers carbureted 4.3L, 4.3LX and 4.3 TKS engines. 4.3 EFI, 4.3 MPI and the newer 4.5L family require their own catalogue selection.
A 4.3L badge does not identify the carburetor. A clear carburetor and distributor photo helps the Parts Desk check the installed equipment, especially after a repower or conversion.
Documented installations
Boat examples
These examples describe documented engine options or installations. Boats may have been repowered or modified; an example does not establish present-day parts compatibility.

2015 Bayliner 185 Bowrider
