Use the complete identification to select the correct generation, diagram and replacement part.

Magnum MPI identity

454 MAG MPI is a separate catalogue entry from standard 7.4 MPI. The complete model and serial number identify the correct generation.

Earlier production

Select the serial-specific catalogue for the actual engine. A starting serial in one service-manual edition does not define the entire production history.

MCM / Horizon inboard

MCM sterndrive and MIE Horizon inboard packages need separate installation matching. Identify the drive or marine gear independently.

Carbureted 454 Magnum, standard 7.4 MPI, other EFI-labelled versions and 502 MAG MPI need their own application checks.

Send the complete engine-plate details and clear old-part photos. Match the installed fuel and cooling equipment, and include the separate drive or marine-gear plate when asking about those assemblies.
