7.4 MPI / 454 MAG MPI

The documented L-29 7.4 MPI has a separate catalogue identity from 454 MAG MPI. Shared displacement does not establish interchangeability.

Earlier MPI versions

Identify L-29 and earlier 7.4 MPI/LX configurations by the engine serial number. Select the matching fuel, ignition and cooling assemblies.

MCM / MIE packages

MCM sterndrive and MIE inboard engines require the corresponding equipment selection. Provide drive or marine-gear identification separately.

Carbureted 7.4/454, EFI-labelled versions, 454 MAG MPI and 502 MAG MPI are separate application checks.

Send the complete engine-plate details and clear old-part photos. Match the installed fuel and cooling equipment, and include the separate drive or marine-gear plate when asking about those assemblies.
