Older GM-based family

The 377-cubic-inch range has its own generation-specific parts. Keep MX 6.2 MPI and 377 MAG designations complete.

Inboard & control versions

Inboard, sterndrive and DTS installations require the appropriate serial-specific selection. Do not extend this grouping to tow-sport or Scorpion versions without an exact application check.

Cooling & drive identity

Match the actual cooling, exhaust, controls and propulsion equipment. Record drive or marine-gear identification separately.

The newer Mercury-designed 6.2L MPI family is a distinct engine generation despite sharing a 6.2L displacement name.

Send the complete engine-plate details and clear old-part photos. Match the installed fuel and cooling equipment, and include the separate drive or marine-gear plate when asking about those assemblies.
