Related generations

KAD42/KAMD42 and later KAD43/KAMD43 are separate model generations. Preserve labels such as KAD42P-A or KAD43P-B exactly.

Air & fuel systems

These documented engines combine a mechanical compressor, turbocharger and charge-air cooling. Match the actual assemblies to the full engine version.

KAD / KAMD packages

KAD Aquamatic and KAMD inboard configurations require separate drive or reverse-gear identification. KAD43 packages were offered with distinct drive arrangements.

KAD42 and KAD43 names are not interchangeable catalogue selections. Do not infer a drive model from the short engine name.

Send the complete engine-plate details and clear old-part photos. Match the installed fuel and cooling equipment, and include the separate drive or marine-gear plate when asking about those assemblies.
