61A / 62A generations

Workshop documentation identifies internal-engine and injection-calibration changes between TAMD61A and TAMD62A. Keep those versions separate.

63L-A / 63P-A

TAMD63L-A and TAMD63P-A have distinct ratings and fuel-system specifications. The 63 generation also includes revised marinization and cooling equipment.

Engine & reverse gear

These documented engines use direct injection, turbocharging and aftercooling. Identify the reverse gear separately; no gearbox is implied by the engine family.

A shared TAMD prefix or similar power rating does not establish cross-generation parts compatibility.

Send the complete engine-plate details and clear old-part photos. Match the installed fuel and cooling equipment, and include the separate drive or marine-gear plate when asking about those assemblies.
