Engine & cooling

1GM10 is a 0.318-litre naturally aspirated, mechanical indirect-injection engine with direct seawater cooling. It is distinct from freshwater-cooled YM engines.

1GM10 / 1GM10C

Marine-gear and saildrive versions require their own installation matching. Keep the full suffix and separate transmission identification.

Service & drive identity

The 10 in the model name is not a substitute for the published power specification. Identify the actual gear or saildrive; older SD20 and current SD25 are separate assemblies.

Do not select YM cooling parts or infer saildrive compatibility from the 1GM10 family name alone.

Send the complete engine-plate details and clear old-part photos. Match the installed fuel and cooling equipment, and include the separate drive or marine-gear plate when asking about those assemblies.
