Earlier generations

3JH2, 3JH3E, 3JH4E and 3JH5E have distinct catalogue identities. Cooling, fuel and installation components need exact-model matching.

3JH5E / 3JH40

3JH5E uses mechanical direct injection. The later naturally aspirated 3JH40 uses common-rail injection; it is a separate fuel-system generation.

Marine gear & saildrive

Identify the installed gear or saildrive separately. Match cooling and exhaust equipment to the actual engine and propulsion package.

A shared 3JH prefix does not establish interchangeability between mechanical and common-rail generations.

Send the complete engine-plate details and clear old-part photos. Match the installed fuel and cooling equipment, and include the separate drive or marine-gear plate when asking about those assemblies.
