The HP156 is a hydrophobic sorbent — it absorbs oil, fuel, and petroleum-based fluids on contact while actively repelling water, so it works effectively even in wet bilge environments where standard absorbent pads would become saturated with water before they could do their job.
A scrim backing on one side adds structural strength and virtually eliminates linting, making these pads cleaner and easier to handle than non-scrim alternatives.
