100% Tinned Copper Butt Connectors for Marine Wiring – 1/0 AWG
These Ancor Marine Grade™ tinned butt connectors provide a clean, reliable inline splice for 1/0 AWG wire in marine electrical systems. Made from 100% tinned copper, they resist the corrosion that standard connectors can’t handle in salt air and wet environments. The barrel accepts wire from both ends for a secure crimp connection that maintains conductivity over the long term — critical on heavy-current circuits where a poor connection creates heat, voltage drop, and potential fire risk.
Sold as a 2-pack — enough for a single splice or two separate connections on the same circuit.
Compatible Applications
- Inline splices on 1/0 AWG battery cable runs
- Engine starting and alternator cable repairs
- Large inverter and battery charger feed connections
- Windlass and bow thruster circuit splices
- Main DC distribution and battery bank wiring repairs

🔧 Parts Desk Insights
Best use case: This is the right connector for a permanent inline splice on 1/0 AWG wire — one of the most common heavy-gauge sizes in marine electrical systems, used for engine starting cables, battery bank interconnects, large inverter feeds, and windlass circuits. At this gauge and current level, connection quality is non-negotiable: a poor crimp creates resistance, heat, and voltage drop that can damage equipment and create a fire hazard. The tinned copper barrel resists corrosion far better than bare copper in a marine environment. For a fully waterproof connection, consider the heat shrink butt connector assortment. For even heavier gauge splices, step up to the 2/0 AWG version (252190).
