Heavy-Duty 1/0 AWG Battery Lugs Built for the Marine Environment
The Ancor 252287 Marine Grade™ Tinned Battery Lug is engineered for high-current marine electrical systems where reliability and corrosion resistance are non-negotiable. Made from pure copper and fully tinned, these lugs deliver maximum conductivity while standing up to the salt air, moisture, and vibration that boats encounter every day. The closed-end barrel design seals out moisture at the cable tip, protecting the connection from the inside out.
This 2-pack is sized for 1/0 AWG cable with a 1/2" fastener hole — a common combination for main battery banks, windlass circuits, and high-draw DC systems.

Parts Desk Insights
This lug is the right choice when terminating 1/0 AWG cable to a 1/2" stud — the most common configuration for main battery bank connections on mid-size to large powerboats and sailboats. The 1/2" hole fits the large positive stud found on most Group 27, 31, and 4D batteries. If you're wiring both positive and negative runs, pair this with the 3/8" version (252286) for the negative terminal. For a complete termination kit covering multiple gauges, the 100-piece assortment (255101) is an excellent shop or vessel spare-parts solution. Always use a proper ratcheting crimper — solder alone is not recommended for marine battery lugs subject to vibration.
