Every NMEA 2000 network requires exactly one male and one female terminator — one at each end of the backbone — to prevent signal reflections and ensure reliable data communication between all connected devices. This is the female terminator. The yellow coupler connects directly to Ancor NMEA 2000 tee connectors and backbone cables.
