AwlGrip Awlwood MA Red Primer — Quart (98-J7809Q)
The Awlwood MA Red Primer is the tinted foundation of the Awlwood MA exterior clear system, specifically formulated for warm-toned woods like mahogany, cherry, iroko, and similar reddish-brown species. Like the Awlwood MA Clear Primer, it penetrates deep into the wood’s cellular structure — bonding at a molecular level rather than sitting on the surface — for a finish that flexes with the wood, resists delamination, and holds its color and clarity season after season.
The red tint contains high-performance colorants that impregnate the wood grain, mimicking and reinforcing the natural tones of warm-colored species. As the wood’s natural color fades over time from UV exposure, the colorants take over and maintain a rich, consistent appearance.
Follow with the Awlwood MA Gloss Finish or Awlwood MA Matte Finish to complete the system.
