Bennett Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) – 12V
The Bennett V351HPU1 is the 12-volt hydraulic power unit at the heart of Bennett Classic hydraulic trim tab systems. It generates the hydraulic pressure needed to extend and retract the trim tab actuators, and uses two integrated solenoid valves to direct fluid flow to each tab independently. The solenoid valves lock the tabs securely in position when not in use. A translucent fluid reservoir allows a quick visual fluid level check without removing the cover, and the included Lexan cover provides water resistance to the electrohydraulic unit. Uses automatic transmission fluid (ATF).

The HPU is the component to replace when the trim tabs stop responding entirely, the pump runs but produces no tab movement, or the unit leaks fluid internally. If only one tab is unresponsive, check the solenoid valves first — the VP1135R (Port/Red) and VP1135G (Starboard/Green) can be replaced individually without swapping the full HPU. For a secure installation, pair with the H1179 Mounting Bracket and protect the unit with the VP1138 Lexan HPU Cover.
