BoatBuckle Pro Series Kwik-Lok Gunwale Tie-Down – 5,500 lb (F17634)
Secure your boat’s gunwales to the trailer with confidence using the BoatBuckle Pro Series Kwik-Lok Gunwale Tie-Down. The SUR-Grip Kwik-Lok buckle is designed for maximum comfort and one-hand operation — cinch and release without the hand fatigue of a standard ratchet. A built-in web closure keeps excess strap neatly stored while trailering, eliminating the flapping and tangling that’s common with loose strap ends. Vinyl-coated S-hooks with keepers protect your boat’s finish and stay put on the trailer frame, while 5,500 lb polyester webbing handles the load with a solid safety margin.

Parts Desk Insights
Best used when you want a faster, more comfortable gunwale tie-down experience than a standard ratchet strap provides — the SUR-Grip Kwik-Lok buckle is noticeably easier on the hands for boaters who launch and retrieve frequently. The built-in web closure is a practical detail that keeps the strap tidy between uses. If you’re unsure which length to order (F17634, F17635, or F17636), measure the distance from your trailer frame to the gunwale hook point and add enough for a comfortable cinch — the F17634 is the shortest of the three. Add BoatBuckle Protective Pads at the hook contact points if your boat has a painted or gel-coated gunwale.
