C.E. Smith 27648 – 60" White PVC Post Guide-Ons for I-Beam Trailer Frames (Pair)
Loading your boat just got easier. C.E. Smith’s 27648 PVC Post Guide-Ons are designed specifically for I-beam trailers and I-beam boat lifts, giving you a clear visual reference for your trailer’s position even when it’s submerged during launch. The tall 60" posts stay visible above the waterline, so you can back down the ramp with confidence and guide your boat onto the trailer without guesswork.
The standout feature is the innovative two-piece mounting clamp, which works above or below the I-beam and fits virtually any height and width of I-beam trailer frame — no drilling or frame modification required. The 1-1/2" square, 16-gauge pre-galvanized steel uprights provide structural rigidity and corrosion resistance, while the 2-3/8" diameter white PVC posts offer a smooth, low-friction guide surface that won’t scratch your hull. Each guide-on adjusts out to 19" per side, and the pair is sold complete with mounting hardware.

Parts Desk Insights
Best Use Case: These guide-ons are the right choice for boaters with I-beam trailers who struggle to see their trailer frame once it’s submerged at the ramp — a common challenge on steeper or murkier launches. The 60" post height keeps the guides visible well above the waterline in most ramp conditions, and the universal I-beam clamp eliminates the fitment uncertainty that comes with fixed-bracket guide-ons. They’re equally useful on I-beam boat lifts where consistent alignment during lowering and retrieval matters. If your trailer uses a square tube or channel frame rather than an I-beam, C.E. Smith offers guide-on models designed for those frame types. Confirm your trailer uses an I-beam frame profile before ordering.
