The Cole Hersee M531BP is a 2-circuit push-pull switch that controls two independent circuits from a single switch position. The 3-position action — Off, On #1, and On #2 — allows two separate circuits to be activated independently by pulling the knob to different positions. This makes it well-suited for applications where two related but independent circuits need to be controlled from one switch, such as anchor lights and running lights.
The brass housing and gasket-sealed case provide corrosion resistance and protection against moisture and dust. The chrome-plated brass knob (3/4" face diameter) and mounting hardware — face nut, washer, and hex nut — are all included. The brass mounting stem (3/8"-32 x 1-1/4" long) fits panels up to 1" thick. Rated at 10A at 12V DC, compatible with 6–36V DC systems.

Best Use Case: Designed for marine helm and console installations where two related circuits need to be controlled independently from a single switch position — the classic application is anchor lights (On #1) and running lights (On #2), allowing either to be activated without the other. The push-pull action provides a clear tactile distinction between the two circuit states.
Parts Desk Insights: This is a push-pull switch, not a rocker or toggle — the knob is pulled out to activate circuits, not flipped or pressed. On #1 and On #2 are independent positions, not cumulative; only one circuit is active at a time in each pulled position. Confirm your panel thickness is 1" or less before ordering. For a momentary push-button switch, see the Cole Hersee M485BP Momentary Push-Button Switch.
