The 2044F is a welded (not weld-free) construction — this is the more robust of the two fixed-ladder lines and is preferred for high-traffic or commercial dock installations. The wide 14" step width is the key differentiator from the standard-width models. If a customer is choosing between fixed and flip-up, the fixed design is better suited to seawalls and locations where the ladder is always needed; the flip-up is better for boat slips where clearance matters.
