A Complete, Ready-to-Deploy Anchor Rode
This pre-assembled anchor rode gives you everything needed to set a secure anchor — right out of the box. The combination of 8-plait nylon line and Grade 43 galvanized chain is one of the most trusted configurations in recreational and light commercial boating, offering the right balance of shock absorption, weight, and holding power.
The 1/2" x 200 ft 8-plait nylon line is hand-spliced to a 1/4" x 50 ft Grade 43 high-test ISO-calibrated hot-dip galvanized windlass chain. A Type IV Grade A hot-dip galvanized anchor shackle is included and pre-installed, so the rode is ready to connect directly to your anchor. Reinforced PVC depth markers are pre-installed on the line, making it easy to know exactly how much scope you've deployed.

The 50 ft chain section provides meaningful catenary weight to help the anchor lie flat and set properly, while the full 200 ft of line gives you adequate scope for anchoring in 20–30 ft of water with a safe 7:1 ratio. If you need more line or a heavier chain, also consider the 1/2" x 250 ft version or the 5/8" x 150 ft rode with 5/16" chain for larger vessels.
