Racor 110A Fuel/Water Separator Filter – Gas & Diesel | 10 Micron

Part Number: 110A (distributor SKU: 62-110A)
Brand: Racor (Parker Hannifin)
Type: Compact fuel filter / water separator assembly
Fuel compatibility: Gasoline and diesel
Filtration rating: 10 micron
Replacement element: R11T (10 micron)
Weight: 1,512 g (assembly)

Product Overview

The Racor 110A is a compact fuel filter/water separator assembly from the Racor 100 Series, designed for low-flow gasoline and diesel fuel systems where space is limited. It uses a metal housing and the R11T 10-micron cartridge-style element to remove fine particulate contamination and separated water before fuel reaches the engine. The 110A is specifically designed for fuel-injected gasoline engines operating at higher working pressures and is also approved for diesel applications, making it one of the most versatile compact separators in the 100 Series.

  • Compact metal-housing design for tight engine compartment installations
  • Fuel compatibility: gasoline and diesel
  • Filtration: 10 micron (R11T cartridge element)
  • Inlet/outlet: 1/4"-18 NPTF female ports
  • Maximum flow: 35 GPH / 132 LPH (gasoline) | 15 GPH / 57 LPH (diesel)
  • Maximum allowable pressure: 100 PSI / 6.9 bar
  • Includes unitized mounting bracket
  • Suitable for pressure or vacuum fuel-system installations

Compatible Applications

  • Marine gasoline engines (inboard and sterndrive) with fuel-injection systems requiring a compact separator
  • Marine diesel engines with low fuel-flow requirements
  • Generator sets and auxiliary engines with 1/4"-18 NPTF fuel lines
  • Pressure washers and small power equipment with gasoline or diesel fuel systems
  • Any application requiring compact 10-micron fuel/water separation at up to 100 PSI and within the rated flow capacity

Fitment Note: Confirm the engine manufacturer’s required filtration rating, fuel-flow demand, line size, and allowable system restriction before installation. The 110A uses 1/4"-18 NPTF ports and the R11T 10-micron cartridge element — not compatible with spin-on elements used in other 100 Series models.

Part Number & Service Parts Reference

  • Filter assembly: 110A / 62-110A
  • 10-micron replacement element: R11T
  • Gasket / O-ring kit: RK 21363
  • Housing kit: RK 21364
  • Vent plug kit: RK 10110
  • Port plug kit: RK 30817

Service Interval

Replace the R11T filter element at the interval specified by the engine or fuel system manufacturer — typically every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Replace sooner if fuel flow becomes restricted, if contamination or water is found during inspection, or if the engine develops symptoms of fuel starvation.

Installation Notes

  • Mount the assembly securely using the included bracket, allowing adequate clearance below the housing for element service
  • Use approved fuel-system sealant on all threaded connections — do not over-tighten
  • Confirm 1/4"-18 NPTF compatibility at all connection points
  • After installation or element service, prime the filter with clean fuel and inspect every fitting for leaks before operating the engine
  • Do not exceed 100 PSI system pressure

Technical FAQ

What is the difference between the 110A and other Racor 100 Series models? The 110A uses a cartridge-style element (R11T) rather than the spin-on Aquabloc® II elements used in most other 100 Series assemblies. It is the only 100 Series model available in 10 micron only, and is specifically rated for fuel-injected gasoline systems at higher working pressures.

What replacement element does the 110A use? The R11T 10-micron cartridge element. Do not attempt to use spin-on elements — the 110A is a cartridge-housing design.

Is the 110A suitable for below-deck marine installations? Yes — the metal housing meets marine fuel-system requirements for enclosed installations. Confirm compliance with applicable ABYC and USCG guidelines for your specific installation.

Parts Desk Insights

The 110A is the compact, high-pressure-rated member of the Racor 100 Series — its key distinction is the cartridge element design and suitability for fuel-injected gasoline systems up to 100 PSI. The most common issue is customers ordering spin-on elements expecting them to fit the 110A housing — the 110A uses the R11T cartridge element only. Also confirm flow rate requirements before selling: at 35 GPH for gasoline and 15 GPH for diesel, the 110A is appropriate for smaller engines and auxiliary systems but not for high-flow primary fuel systems on larger engines, where a Racor 500 or 900 Series assembly would be the correct choice.
