The Forespar Twist-Lock Tiller Extension gives you full control of the helm from anywhere in the cockpit — whether you're hiking out, trimming sails, or managing the boat solo. At 108", this is the long-reach option, designed for larger cockpits and performance sailing where distance from the tiller is essential.
The heart of the system is a stainless steel universal joint that allows smooth, unrestricted movement in any direction without binding. The anodized aluminum tube (3/4" tapering to 5/8") keeps weight low while maintaining rigidity under load. A rubber compound ball grip at the end provides a secure, comfortable hold even with wet hands. The powder-coated finish resists corrosion in saltwater environments.
Connection to the tiller is handled by Forespar's twist-lock quick-release system: depress the plunger, insert the detent pin into the tubular tiller fitting, and you're locked in. One push releases it instantly — no tools, no fumbling.
