The GPA023S is a DGPS and DGLONASS antenna designed for the Furuno GP-1700 GPS navigator. By receiving differential correction signals from ground-based beacon stations, it significantly improves positioning accuracy beyond standard GPS — delivering sub-metre precision that makes a meaningful difference in tight harbour approaches, survey work, and any application where precise position matters.
DGPS (Differential GPS) and DGLONASS (Differential GLONASS) corrections work by comparing the GPS/GLONASS signal received at a known fixed reference station with the expected signal, then broadcasting the correction data to nearby receivers. The GPA023S picks up these corrections and feeds them to the GP-1700, resulting in position accuracy that standard GPS alone cannot achieve.
