The GMR Fantom 54 is a complete solid-state CHIRP radar system that brings Garmin’s premium Fantom radar technology to mid-size vessels where a 5-foot or 6-foot array isn’t practical. The kit includes both the 4-foot open-array antenna and the radar pedestal — everything needed for a full radar installation, ready to connect to a compatible Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter.
Like the larger Fantom 56, the Fantom 54 uses solid-state CHIRP technology — no magnetron tube to warm up or replace, instant-on operation, and lower power draw than a comparable traditional radar. MotionScope Doppler processing highlights moving targets in a distinct colour on the radar display, making it immediately clear which returns are vessels underway versus stationary objects. At 40W of solid-state output, it delivers strong target detection and close-range discrimination in a compact 4-foot array with reduced wind load.

Installation Note: Ships as two cartons — the 4-foot antenna in a long carton and the pedestal separately. Professional installation is recommended. Use quality shielded Ethernet cable for all Garmin Marine Network connections.
