Three Sonar Arrays. One Transom Mount Transducer.
The Garmin GT34UHD-TM brings ultra-high-definition ClearVü and SideVü scanning sonar together in a single transom-mount transducer with three built-in sonar arrays. It delivers a near-photographic view of what's directly below and to the sides of your boat — giving you the full picture of bottom structure, cover, and fish location in exceptional detail.
What It Does
- Ultra-HD ClearVü Sonar — Produces highly detailed images of fish and structure directly beneath your boat at 800 kHz, with clarity that rivals forward-facing sonar systems
- Ultra-HD SideVü Sonar — Scans to both sides of your boat at 455 kHz or 1,200 kHz, letting you cover more water and locate structure and fish away from your direct path
- CHIRP Traditional Sonar — Delivers excellent target separation and fish arch definition for reliable, classic fish-finding performance
- Three Sonar Arrays — Includes a downward-facing element plus side-scanning elements, covering frequencies from 800 kHz to 1,200 kHz in a single unit
- Transom Mount — Designed for permanent transom installation; compatible with most boat hull types
- Flexible Display Options — Plugs directly into compatible xsv-series chartplotters, or can be used with a Garmin GCV sonar module to display on other compatible units
Compatible Chartplotters
Designed to plug directly into Garmin xsv-series chartplotter/sonar combos including the GPSMAP 8600xsv and ECHOMAP Ultra xsv series. Can also be used with a Garmin GCV sonar module for display on other compatible chartplotters. Verify your unit's transducer port before ordering.
Parts Desk Insights
Best Use Case: The GT34UHD-TM is the right choice for serious structure and tournament anglers who want ultra-high-definition scanning sonar in a traditional transom-mount format. The three-array design gives you ClearVü, SideVü, and CHIRP traditional sonar from a single transducer — ideal for anglers who want maximum sonar coverage without adding multiple units to the hull. It's particularly well-suited for bass, walleye, and crappie fishing where reading structure and locating suspended fish at a distance matters most.
Vs. Trolling Motor Mount Options: If you prefer to mount your scanning sonar on a trolling motor rather than the transom, consider the Garmin GT54UHD-TM, which offers a similar feature set with both transom and trolling motor mount options included.
Compatibility Note: Requires a Garmin xsv-capable chartplotter or a compatible GCV sonar module. Not compatible with standard sv or non-xsv units without the sonar module. Confirm your unit's model suffix and sonar port before purchasing.
