The Jabsco 6303-0007-P is a six-blade green polyurethane impeller kit designed primarily for reversible wakeboard and ski-boat ballast pumps. Its flexible polyurethane construction, single-flat drive and plastic hub are engineered for rapid ballast-tank filling and draining while helping reduce unwanted water movement through the pump when the system is switched off. It is the current packaged replacement for the earlier 6303-0007 impeller.

When This Part Needs Replacement

Replace the impeller when:

• The ballast tank fills or drains more slowly than normal
• The pump runs but moves little or no water
• Water enters or leaves the ballast tank while the pump is off

• The blades are cracked, distorted, torn or permanently folded
• The hub slips on the motor shaft
• The pump has operated dry

Wear at the vane tips can reduce pump output and may also prevent the impeller from sealing effectively inside the pump chamber.

Installation Notes

• Isolate electrical power to the ballast pump.
• Remove the end-cover screws, cover and existing O-ring.
• Pull the old impeller straight from the motor shaft.
• Inspect the pump chamber and cover for debris or scoring.
• Apply the supplied glycerine lubricant to the impeller bore and blades.
• Align the flat inside the hub with the flat on the motor shaft.
• Install the impeller using a gentle rotating motion.
• Fit the new O-ring and reinstall the cover.
• Test the pump in both fill and drain directions.
• Do not operate the pump dry for extended periods.

Jabsco’s installation guidance specifies aligning the flat in the impeller with the motor-shaft flat before installing it with a rotary motion.
