Sierra 47-232002 Impeller for Johnson/Evinrude outboard engines. Replaces the raw water pump impeller to restore cooling system performance. Direct-fit replacement designed to meet OEM specifications.
Best Use (Parts Desk): Replace the impeller at the start of each season or every 100–200 hours of operation, whichever comes first — outboard impellers degrade faster than inboard/genset units due to higher RPM cycling and dry-start exposure. Never run the engine dry, even briefly, as this destroys impeller vanes rapidly. Inspect the pump housing and wear plate for scoring before installing the new impeller. Use glycerin or dish soap to ease installation; never petroleum grease.
