Jabsco Profile A Nitrile Impeller Kit – 1414-0003-P / 6-14140003P

Product Description

The Jabsco 1414-0003-P is a compact six-blade nitrile impeller for compatible Mini Puppy and 12210-series utility pumps. Its oil-resistant nitrile construction makes it suitable for bilge pumping, oil-changing systems and liquid-transfer duties involving oily water, diesel fuel, kerosene and similar petroleum-contaminated fluids.

Key Features

  • Jabsco part number: 1414-0003-P
  • Land 'N' Sea SKU: 6-14140003P
  • Impeller profile: A
  • Six flexible blades
  • Nitrile construction
  • Bronze or brass hub insert
  • Single-flat drive
  • Outside diameter: 1-1/4 in / 32 mm
  • Width: 15/32 in / 12 mm
  • Shaft diameter: 5/16 in / approximately 8 mm
  • UPC / GTIN: 671880574808
  • Packaged kit references include an O-ring, gasket and glycerin installation lubricant.

Pump Compatibility

Documented applications include:

  • Jabsco Mini Puppy pumps
  • Jabsco 12210-series pumps
  • Jabsco 12210-0003 utility pump
  • Compatible oil-changing, bilge and general liquid-transfer pumps requiring a Profile A, 32 × 12 mm, single-flat impeller.

Intended Use

This nitrile impeller is intended for pumping:

  • Oily bilge water
  • Diesel fuel
  • Oil-and-water emulsions
  • Kerosene
  • Lubricating oils
  • Machine-cutting oils
  • Other compatible petroleum-contaminated fluids

Nitrile is preferred over neoprene where oil or diesel exposure is significant. It is not normally the first choice for dedicated engine-cooling service or clean-water transfer.

Fitment Notice

Before ordering, confirm that the original impeller requires:

  • Six blades
  • 1-1/4-inch outside diameter
  • 15/32-inch width
  • 5/16-inch shaft
  • Single-flat drive
  • Profile A configuration
  • Nitrile compound

Do not confuse this impeller with the 1414-0001-P. Both share the same dimensions and drive configuration, but the 1414-0001-P is neoprene, while the 1414-0003-P is nitrile for oil- and fuel-contaminated pumping applications.

When This Part Needs Replacement

Replace the impeller when:

  • Pump output becomes weak or intermittent
  • The pump struggles to self-prime
  • Oil-transfer time increases noticeably
  • Impeller blades become cracked, swollen or permanently folded
  • Blade tips are torn or missing
  • The hub slips on the shaft
  • The pump has been operated dry
  • The impeller has hardened after prolonged fuel or oil exposure

A damaged impeller can reduce suction, flow and the pump's ability to maintain an internal seal.

Installation Notes

  • Disconnect electrical power to the pump.
  • Isolate or drain the connected fluid lines.
  • Remove the pump end cover and old sealing components.
  • Pull the old impeller straight from the single-flat shaft.
  • Inspect the pump chamber, cam, cover and shaft for wear.
  • Remove any broken impeller fragments from the connected plumbing.
  • Lubricate the replacement impeller with the supplied glycerin lubricant.
  • Align the flat inside the hub with the flat on the pump shaft.
  • Install the correct gasket or O-ring and refit the cover.
  • Prime the pump where required and check for leaks.
  • Confirm proper flow immediately after restarting.

Avoid extended dry running, even when using an oil-resistant nitrile impeller.

Alternate / Related Part Numbers

  • Land 'N' Sea SKU: 6-14140003P
  • Compact format: 14140003P

Parts Desk Insight

The critical distinction is the nitrile compound. This small Profile A impeller is intended for oily or fuel-contaminated transfer duties, while the same-size 1414-0001-P neoprene version is better suited to clean fresh- or saltwater service. Confirm both the pump model and the fluid being transferred before choosing between them.
