Product Description
The Jabsco 23095-0007-P is a six-blade red polyurethane replacement impeller for Jabsco Ballast King reversible ballast pumps. Designed for rapid ballast-tank filling and draining, its flexible polyurethane construction provides improved resistance to occasional dry-running conditions compared with standard neoprene impellers. It also helps create the internal seal needed to reduce unwanted water movement when the pump is switched off.

When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace the impeller when:
- Ballast tanks fill or drain more slowly than normal
- Pump output becomes weak or intermittent
- The pump runs but does not transfer water
- Water leaks into or drains from ballast bags while the pump is off
- The pump has difficulty reversing direction
- The blades are cracked, torn, worn or permanently folded
- The drive hub slips on the motor shaft
- The pump has experienced extended dry operation
A worn impeller can reduce transfer performance and prevent the pump from sealing effectively when it is switched off.
Installation Notes
- Disconnect electrical power to the ballast pump.
- Close any applicable isolation valves.
- Remove the pump end cover and existing sealing O-ring.
- Pull the old impeller straight from the shaft.
- Inspect the pump chamber and cover for scoring or debris.
- Remove any broken blade fragments from the hoses and ballast plumbing.
- Lubricate the new impeller with the supplied lubricant.
- Align the flat inside the impeller hub with the flat on the pump shaft.
- Install the replacement O-ring and refit the cover.
- Test the pump in both fill and drain directions.
- Check the system for leaks and proper ballast-tank holding.
Although this impeller offers improved dry-running resistance, extended operation without water should still be avoided.
