Product Description
The Jabsco 6303-0001-P is a genuine six-blade neoprene flexible impeller kit designed for compatible Jabsco rubber impeller pumps used in marine engine cooling, freshwater transfer, seawater circulation and general-purpose water pumping. The impeller features a plastic hub with a single-flat drive and is supplied as a service kit complete with the required cover gasket or O-ring and installation lubricant.

Do not substitute this impeller for the 6303-0003-P unless your pump specifically calls for nitrile. The 6303-0001-P is intended for clean freshwater and seawater service, while the 6303-0003-P uses nitrile rubber for oil-contaminated or wastewater applications.
When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace the impeller when:
- Cooling-water flow decreases
- Pump output becomes weak or intermittent
- The pump loses prime
- Engine operating temperature increases
- Vanes become cracked, hardened or permanently bent
- Pieces of the impeller are missing
- The pump has been operated dry
- Scheduled preventive maintenance is due

Installation Notes
- Disconnect power or stop the engine before servicing.
- Remove the end-cover screws and cover.
- Remove the old impeller using the proper impeller puller or suitable pliers.
- Never pry against the pump housing with a screwdriver.
- Remove all broken vane fragments from the cooling system.
- Lubricate the new impeller with the supplied lubricant before installation.
- Align the flat in the impeller hub with the flat on the pump shaft.
- Install the supplied gasket or O-ring.
- Reassemble the pump and verify proper water flow after startup.
Never operate a flexible impeller pump dry.

Neoprene performs well in clean water but will swell and degrade rapidly if exposed to petroleum products. If the pump handles bilge water, wastewater, or any liquid that may carry oil or diesel contamination, use the nitrile 6303-0003-P instead. For raw-water cooling circuits where longer service intervals are desired, the polyurethane 6303-0007-P may offer extended blade life. Always match the compound to the OEM specification for the pump model.
