When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace the propeller if the blades are cracked, chipped, bent, worn, loose on the shaft, or damaged by ice, weeds, rope, dock debris, stones, or other hard objects. A damaged propeller can reduce water movement, create vibration, lower aeration performance, overload the motor, or cause noisy operation.
Replacement is also recommended if the unit no longer circulates water properly, shows reduced fountain pattern or de-icing performance, vibrates under load, or has visible propeller imbalance after debris impact.
Installation Notes
Disconnect power and remove the unit from service before inspecting or replacing the propeller. Check the cage, shaft, mounting hardware, and surrounding intake area for debris or damage before fitting the new propeller.
Install the propeller squarely on the shaft and confirm that it spins freely without contacting the cage or housing. Do not operate the unit with a cracked or unbalanced propeller, as vibration can damage other components. After installation, test the unit in water and confirm smooth operation, normal water movement, and no unusual noise or vibration.
