Documented 120 GM 153 I/L4 catalog ranges include 1666601–3377340 (1964–1972), 3377341–5192048 (1972–1978), and 5192049–6229717 (1979–1982). Confirm the actual manifold and elbow, especially if either has been replaced.
Replacement and Installation
Replace the gasket when separating the elbow joint. Check mating faces for corrosion, erosion and distortion before assembly; use the gasket orientation, tightening sequence and sealing instructions specified for that exhaust system.
