Mercury Quicksilver 27-47510 is a cork thermostat gasket for MCM and MIE GM V6 and V8 engines with the older two-piece thermostat housing. It is the small gasket at the thermostat within that housing arrangement.

Compatibility and Fitment
Match the housing design and gasket callout. The Quicksilver catalog lists a different gasket, 27-806871, for newer one-piece thermostat housings. The housing-to-manifold and cover gaskets are separate parts.

Renew the gasket during thermostat service. Remove old gasket residue, inspect the seat and housing, and follow the engine procedure for thermostat orientation and cover tightening.
