Mercury 56743 is a 3/8-24 x 3-1/8-inch screw used in specified MerCruiser alternator-bracket assemblies and legacy Mercury outboard swivel-bracket assemblies. The long screw also appears as the strap-stop-to-housing fastener on short-shaft 80/800 four-cylinder outboards.
