Product Description
Mercury Quicksilver 89-853809001 is the starter solenoid for specified electric-start FourStroke outboards. It is fitted among the electrical components or on the electrical bracket, depending on the engine model.
Engine Compatibility
- 8 and 9.9 hp FourStroke 209 cc electric-start applications, including serial 0R042475 and above
- 10, 15 and 20 hp two-cylinder EFI FourStroke models, serial 0R833820 and above, including specified 15 SeaPro EFI models
- 25 and 30 hp three-cylinder EFI FourStroke models, serial 0R106999 and above
- 25 Jet EFI three-cylinder FourStroke, serial 0R165086 and above
Replacement and Installation
Check the battery, cable connections and starter-control circuit before replacing the solenoid. Disconnect the battery before electrical work and match the terminal and wire arrangement to the correct wiring diagram.
