Mercury Quicksilver 27-855541003 is the carburetor cover gasket for specified Mercury 8 and 9.9 hp 209 cc FourStroke outboards. It fits beneath cover 855540002 in the carburetor assembly.
Engine Compatibility
Used in the 8/9.9 hp 209 cc FourStroke carburetor family. A confirmed 9.9 hp catalog application is the 0R042475-and-above engine series with the carburetor diagram for serial 0R676745 and below.
Replacement and Installation
Replace a damaged or disturbed cover gasket during carburetor service. Clean the mating faces without altering the cover or carburetor body and keep all small passages clear.
