Compatibility and Fitment
Documented in MerCruiser 470 sterndrive gimbal-housing assemblies, 1978–1982, serial numbers 4893835 through 6225576, and in the old-design anodic-bolt arrangement on selected Bravo transoms. Confirm the transom serial number and installed anode/bolt design.
Replacement and Installation
Replace a damaged or deteriorated washer while inspecting the anodic bolt and anode. Install the washer in its specified position and follow the transom-assembly service instructions for fastening and sealing.
