Best Use Case: The Terrova 80 lb / 45" / 24V is the right call for anglers with a low-profile bow (up to ~20" from the waterline) who have outgrown 12V performance — typically on mid-size aluminum or fiberglass boats in the 17–21 ft range fishing in wind, current, or open water where 55 lbs of thrust isn’t enough to hold position. The 45" shaft is the limiting factor: if your bow is higher than ~20", step up to the 54" or 60" shaft version instead.

Shaft Selection Tip: A general rule is to add 16" to your bow height to determine the minimum shaft length needed. Measure from the waterline to the top of the bow mount before ordering. If the 45" shaft is borderline for your setup, size up — too short causes cavitation and efficiency loss.

24V Battery Setup: This motor requires two 12V batteries wired in series to produce 24V. Use matched batteries of the same age, type, and capacity for best performance. AGM or lithium batteries in the 100–120 Ah range are recommended.
