When This PFD Needs Service
Inspect before every outing and replace or service the unit if:
- The outer cover is torn or excessively worn
- Buckles or belt webbing are damaged
- The inflatable bladder shows signs of damage
- The CO₂ cylinder has been deployed or is missing
- The inflator mechanism has been activated
- The unit no longer passes the manufacturer’s inspection procedures
After any inflation, install the correct re-arm kit before returning the PFD to service.
Care and Maintenance
- Inspect the inflator and CO₂ cylinder regularly.
- Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after saltwater use.
- Allow the belt pack to dry completely before storage.
- Store in a cool, dry, ventilated location.
- Follow Mustang Survival’s repacking instructions after deployment.
